Kevin Gage as Abel in Love's Abiding JoyLove's Abiding Joy - 20-Sep-06

Kevin Gage on the Chaos DVD coverChaos DVD coming 26-Sep-06 - 7-Sep-06
The film Chaos, starring Kevin Gage, which stirred up controversy with its release in August, 2005, will be available on DVD beginning 26-September. Two versions are available: standard and Director's Cut. The DVDs are unrated, but consider them to be rated R -- for strong stomachs only. Extras include "never before seen footage" of the L.A. Coroner's crypt.

A quote from Roger Ebert is featured at the top of the DVD cover: "I can not ignore it, nor can I deny that it affected me strongly... the movie works." Given Ebert's scathing review of the film, one wonders if he appreciates being quoted! But we remember that he also said, "Kevin Gage was certainly effective, and I was reminded of my feelings about Michael Rooker after seeing Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer. Hate the film, respect the actor."

See our Chaos page for links to purchase from Amazon, reviews and more information on the film. - DMc

Kevin Gage in StrangelandWe haven't forgotten you! - 27-Aug-06
Sorry to be so long without updating the website. Family stuff ... and Kevin has been so busy filming that he hasn't had time to give us updates! We're bugging him to see if we can give some inside information on the list of films that IMDb shows on his plate.

We did gather up our courage and rent the Strangeland DVD. The joys of computers! I put it in my Mac and was able to fast forward through the creepy stuff and stop in the Kevin sections. (Thankfully Kev is not doing the gruesome work in this flick.) Captured over 100 shots so far, more to do. Posted the first nine pics to give you a taste of what's to come, but be patient. Time is short these days so it may take a while to get the rest posted. See the updates on our Strangeland page. - DMc

happy birthday!HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KEVIN!! - 26-May-06

Happy Birthday to you, Kevin! Many many good thoughts are coming your way! Hope your day was a good one! - KL

Kevin to start filming Big Stan - 24-May-06
Kevin just gave us a heads up -- he starts filming the Rob Schneider film, Big Stan, this week. Yes, it's a comedy, and Kevin says his prison guard character is a "nice guy for a change" with a memorable impact on the story and a number of scenes with Schneider. Look for the film in 2007. - DMc

Kevin Gage in StrangelandStrangeland on TMC, site updates - 2-Feb-06
Strangeland will be airing on TMC Movie Channel several times this month. Warning: not for the squeamish. See TVNow for dates and times, and be sure to check your local listings for confirmation.

KL updated the guest book -- thanks to all of you for your comments! She also added another resource to the Firefly page, and we added links to Netflix movie reviews on several of the movie pages. If you have been planning to subscribe to Netflix, please consider clicking on one of our "we use & recommend Netflix.com DVD Rentals" links on the movie pages, as each sign-up contributes to the maintenance of this site. So far, no one has signed up, so maybe we need to take down these links! :) - DMc

More Kevin Gage links - 24-Jan-06
Wikipedia, TVNow and TV.com have all added pages for Kevin Gage recently. You'll find links to them on our Kevin Gage movies page. From TVNow, we were bummed to find that we missed both May and Strangeland, which aired on the USA channel this past month. So we'll be checking their listings more often!

And turns out that Cinemorgue had a modest version of our Last Looks page; we linked to it. We've also added some episode links to the Firefly and Smallville pages. And finally, we archived older news items in our new News Archive. - DMc

Stephen Wozniak & Kevin Gage in ChaosStephen Wozniak talks about Kevin Gage - 11-Nov-05
We were delighted to receive an email from one of Kevin's Chaos co-stars, Stephen Wozniak. Stephen generously shared some observations about Kevin's acting skills and what it was like to work with him. See our Comments about Kevin Gage page for the details. You can find more about Stephen Wozniak's work at www.stephenwozniak.com. - DMc

Kevin Gage in Double TapDouble Tap - 10-Oct-05
This time the film is Double Tap, a 1997 thriller starring Stephen Rea and Heather Locklear. Kevin Gage plays a grumpy, politically incorrect FBI agent. More on the new Double Tap page. Thanks to Lisa for helping us get a look at this hard-to-find film. Can anyone figure out that I love that sucker picture? :)

Your webmasters are too squeamish to watch May, Strangeland or Chaos (go ahead, call us chickens, we don't care). So until Kevin has a new film for us, we don't expect to add any more movie pages. But we do have more video clips in the hopper for our old favorite G.I. Jane, and literally hundreds more screen captures from various films that can be cleaned up and added, so expect that we will be posting more pictures here and there as we find time. - DMc

Kevin Gage preparing for his part in Lightning BugComments about Kevin - 9-Oct-05
With the wonderful commentary from Lightning Bug, we were collecting quite few "about Kevin" comments. So we decided to create a Comments about Kevin Gage page, featuring quotes and video clips from screenwriter, director, actress, stuntwoman, and even a critic. - DMc

Kevin Gage in Con AirLast Looks page - 7-Oct-05
Kevin Gage's characters have been killed by some of the best actors in the business -- from Dennis Hopper to Nicolas Cage to Robert DeNiro. We collected a gallery of those characters' dying breaths and posted them on our new Last Looks page. Warning: some spoilers. - DMc

Kevin is home and healthy - 24-Sep-05
We received confirmation today that Kevin Gage was released as scheduled and is now at home in southern California. He is reported to be in good spirits. He has now seen the web site, including messages in the guestbook, and relayed his thanks to the webmasters and fans for their support.

We also learned that, contrary to IMDb's biography, Kevin Gage has fathered no children with ex-wife Kelly Preston or anyone else. - DMc

Welcome Home, Kevin! - 21-Sep-05
As of a few weeks ago, Kevin Gage was scheduled for release from prison today, and we're assuming that he's checkin' out within the next few hours. We're very glad he's going to be reunited with family and friends, and look forward to the day when we get to see him in a new film! :) - DMc & KL

scene from ChaosRoger Ebert on Chaos - 25-Aug-05
Being fans of Kevin Gage but troubled by excessive violence, we webmasters have been challenged to report objectively on Kevin's latest film, Chaos. Film critic Roger Ebert helped us out by giving Chaos zero stars, not for its execution but for its lack of moral compass, and recommending that movie-goers avoid it. See our Chaos page for links to his review, the director's rebuttal, a reply by Ebert, and quite a few comments from readers.

We wrote to Ebert thanking him for his thoughtful analysis, and mentioning the conflict caused by being a Kevin Gage fan. His response was worth sharing: "Kevin Gage was certainly effective, and I was reminded of my feelings about Michael Rooker after seeing Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer. Hate the film, respect the actor." - DMc

Kevin Gage to be released Sept 21 - 23-Aug-05
Thanks to those of you who have told us in the past few weeks that Kevin is due to be released from prison on September 21. We try to be careful not to publish rumors, so we looked for more confirmation, and today we received a letter from Kevin Gage himself confirming the good news. YAHOO! Or is that HOOYAH? At any rate, we're tickled to hear this, and wish Kevin all the best in his return to free life and new films. - DMc

No Kevin in Space Camp - 23-Aug-05
Sorry, gang, but it has been confirmed by a reliable source: Kevin Gage's contribution to Space Camp was left on the cutting room floor. Still, this invisible role launched Kevin's career by enabling him to get his SAG card. - DMc

Kevin Gage in ChaosChaos in August - 16-Jun-05
The last film Kevin Gage worked on before his incarceration for growing medicinal marijuana was Chaos, a graphically violent film in which two teenaged girls are tortured and killed. Kevin plays the title role of "Chaos," the ringleader of the bad guys. The good news is that the film is finally going to be released this August. The bad news is that your webmasters will almost certainly not be watching it, as it is rated NC-17 for violence and billed as "the most brutal film ever made." Thanks, but no thanks. See the gory details (but not the really gory details) on our new Chaos page. - DMc

SpaceCamp, or "Where's Kevin?" - 3-Jun-05
Are you sure Kevin Gage was in SpaceCamp? 'Cuz we haven't been able to find him. But we put up a SpaceCamp page with some "is this Kevin?" screen captures. We're hoping one of you fans out there will know for sure which, if any, of those caps are of Kevin. - DMc

Paparazzi video clips - 12-May-05

Kevin Gage in PaparazziPaparazzi screen captures - 2-May-05
Finally managed to clip and cap Paparazzi. It's not a great film—only one of your two webmasters managed to continue watching after Kevin Gage's character bit the dust. But Kevin looks good, his headscarf hiding the receding hairline—kind of a pirate look. Enjoy 21 screencaps now, half a dozen video clips by the end of this week, all on the Paparazzi page. - DMc

Marijuana case updates, contact Kevin page - 21-Mar-05
We've updated the medicinal marijuana page to add more information about the related case currently before the Supreme Court. And, though we still believe that Kevin is entitled to privacy, we've decided to publish the information already on several medical marijuana advocacy web sites and the Federal Bureau of Prisons web site, and tell you how to write a letter to Kevin if you are interested. See the new contact Kevin page for details. - DMc

Kevin Gage in Steele JusticeSteele Justice caps & clip - 4-Jan-05
The 1987 film Steele Justice gives us an idea just how far Kevin Gage has come since he started his career in the late 80s. We've posted half a dozen screencaps and a video clip of Kevin's 26-second appearance, all on the Steele Justice page.

This is the last of the films we have in the "capture" queue. We'd love to get our hands on a copy of Double Tap but the $64.99 Amazon price tag is a bit much! Even the used copies start at $35. Let us know if you have a copy you can loan us—we promise to return it promptly after capturing some clips. Thanks! - DMc

Kevin Gage as Max Pyro in G.I. JaneDressing up the site - 25-Dec-04
We've dressed up the site a bit for the holidays with new photos, and made it easy to rotate the pictures so we can keep the place looking fresh. And if you would like to link to kevingage.net, we'd be delighted! We posted some buttons on a new Link to Us page in case you'd like to use one. - DMc

Kevin Gage in Point BlankPoint Blank caps & clips - 22-Dec-04
Point Blank is a 1-star film with 4-star Kevin content. He's lookin' good with long hair, bare arms and big guns. Too bad about the rest of the film. We liked the look and some bits of dialogue well enough to get a bit carried away "capturing" it. Enjoy 26 screencaps and eight video clips, all on the Point Blank page. - DMc

Added a page for the 1998 film Gunshy, including a review, six video clips and a bunch of screen caps featuring Kevin Gage playing opposite William L. Petersen and Michael Wincott.
